Ulverston Tenner – Terms & Conditions
Please read the following information carefully as it sets out the terms and conditions applicable to the Ulverston Tenner which will be referred to as ‘The Tenner’.
- You can use The Tenner to make a purchase in participating Ulverston businesses. You can use The Tenner to pay for a Purchase in full or in part. You can only use the ‘The Tenner’ to make purchases, you cannot use it to pay for any other transactions at a Participating shops or businesses. The Tenner cannot be redeemed for cash and has no cash value.

Using The Tenner
The Tenner can be used as full or part payment to purchase goods or services up to the value of 10 pounds Stirling at any participating local business.
You cannot use The Tenner to spend more than the amount of Your Balance. If the value of your purchase exceeds the amount of the voucher you may use an additional tender type to complete the transaction.
If the value of the purchase is less than the value of the The Tenner, no change will be given.
The Tenner should be treated like cash in a wallet. If The Tenner is lost or stolen, you will lose it in the same way that you would lose a wallet. Please look after it just like cash.
The Tenner is for personal use only and may not be acquired for resale. However, It may be gifted or used again against the purchase of goods in another participating business. The Tenner may be purchased and given as a gift.
Subject to the right of redemption The Tenner is non-refundable and may not be exchanged for cash in Participating businesses.
Expiry
The Tenner must be used to purchase goods within 12 Months of receipt.

Disputes and Complaints
If You have any dispute about the goods or services You have purchased from a Participating Business, You should contact the Participating Business directly. ‘Go Ulvertson’ is in no way responsible for the goods purchased.

Changes to Terms and Conditions
Go Ulverston may change these terms and conditions at any time and will inform you of any change at the earliest opportunity after the change has been made by one or more of the following ways:
(a) by an announcement on the website www.goulverston.co.uk
(b) letters to the participating businesses
We may change these terms and conditions at any time for any of the following reasons:
(a) to make these terms and conditions easier to understand or fairer to you
(b) to correct mistakes, ambiguities, inaccuracies or omissions where it is reasonable to do so or as a result of customer feedback
(c) to make improvements to the services we provide which are of benefit to you
(d) to reflect changes in security design or technology at no increased cost to you
(e) to respond to changes in the general retail lending practices of banks and other organisations offering similar services including the terms on which they offer similar products
(f) to take account of any change in our ownership or to reflect a reorganisation of our business as a result of it being acquired or merging with another bank or organisation to make sure that Our customers and the customers of the other organisation are treated in a similar way if they have a similar product
(g) if We reasonably believe the change is necessary in the interests of our business as a whole, for example to protect our financial strength.
In addition to the reasons listed above we can make changes to the fees applicable to The Tenner for the following additional reasons:
(a) to respond to reasonable cost increases or reductions associated with providing the particular services to you
(b) to respond to changes made in the charges applied by our competitors in the retail financial services market offering similar services to customers with similar products.
General
This agreement will continue indefinitely unless terminated by you or us. Upon termination, the terms and conditions that are capable of continuing to apply will do so.
It is our aim to ensure a complete service at all times, but we will not be responsible when failure is caused by abnormal and unforeseeable circumstances beyond our control, the consequences of which would have been unavoidable despite our efforts to the contrary.
We cannot guarantee that a participating business will accept The Tenner and we will not be liable for any direct or indirect loss or damage you may suffer in the event that a participating business refuses to accept The Tenner.
The agreement and all of our dealings with you will be governed by English law. Any disputes in relation to these terms and conditions shall be dealt with by any court in the UK which is able to hear the case.
We may transfer to any other person any or all of our rights under this agreement. We may do this without telling you but your legal rights will not change as a result of such a transfer.
Each of these clauses is separate from all other clauses, so that if one clause is found to be void or otherwise unenforceable it will not affect the validity of any of the others.
If we do not enforce any of the rights we have under this agreement, or if we delay in enforcing them, that does not prevent us from taking any action to enforce our rights in the future.
A person who is not a party to this Agreement may not enforce any of its terms under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.
Using and sharing your information
Your information may be held by us in any form and on any group database and used by us for the purposes set out below.
We may use, analyse and access your information to maintain and develop our services.
This may include the following purposes:
• to consider and implement business, product and technology developments
• to undertake statistical analysis, financial risk assessment, money laundering checks (which may include telephoning you), compliance and regulatory reporting and fraud prevention
• meeting any obligations we may have under the The Tenner Scheme
We will disclose information outside the Go Ulverston only:
• where you have provided your agreement
• to our agents or subcontractors for operational reasons
• to fraud prevention and other agencies to help prevent crime or where we suspect fraud
• if compelled to do so by law
• for the purpose of compliance and regulatory reporting and to confirm your identity for money laundering purposes, which may include checking the electoral register
• to any person to whom we will or intend to transfer our rights or obligations
