Rob Turnball is the new ice cream vendor in Ulverston and Furness. He is available for all sorts of events, including weddings! Treat yourself to a traditional ice cream cone and enjoy the Lake District’s best ice cream by English Lakes.

Children might want a bit of colour and opt for Mr. Bubble, Ribena, Fab, Screwball, Cornettos, Refreshers, Magnums or a Chunky Choc Ice.

Based in the beautiful Lake District, The Craft Studio Glass Works provides glass fusing and slumping courses in the refurbished studio alongside many other crafts.

Not only can you buy a bespoke piece of jewellery that takes your fancy, but you can even commission or make your own design. Marilyn will walk you through your ideas and help you come up with a really stunning design. She will take this away and fire it. You will get your very own gorgeous creation delivered a few days later!

Getting married?  Have a hen party with Marilyn and you could be designing the jewellery to match the bridesmaid’s dresses.

We can make beautiful gifts for bridesmaids and cuff links for men.  We can also slump and preserve your special bottle.   You can even come and make your own!

Your Wedding – Make it a day to remember

Since 2006, Chequers Hotel and Restaurant has been licensed for civil wedding ceremonies for up to 120 guests. We provide the perfect location for wedding parties. Our ‘walk in’ style simple wedding ceremonies can be held mid-week or weekend. There is the option of ‘all inclusive’ and ‘exclusive’, where the wedding party can hire the Castle Suite for the reception and en-suite accommodation for all their guests.

Chequers also have their own wedding planner.  Jo will help you plan your day to perfection!
