Bleach House The Gallery

Bleach House’ is a contemporary gallery located in the pretty market town of Ulverston in the South Lakeland area of Cumbria. What makes this gallery unique is the way that art is presented.

All too often galleries are vast, hanger-like spaces with artwork highlighted with bright spotlights and hung on dazzling white, sterile walls. This, for many people, is an unfamiliar space that feels cold and unwelcoming.

The Bleach House Gallery, on the other hand, is the only gallery in the area that integrates art and design into beautiful, contemporary room sets, to show off the work in a real context. This allows visitors to better imagine what an artwork or designed object could look like in their own home or business premises.

Six-weekly exhibitions run throughout the year from February to December with all media being represented in solo, joint or group exhibitions.
